Egyptian Prince Turquoise Cabochon A040

The earliest evidence of turquoise being used for adornment and sculpture is found in ancient Egyptian tombs. Turquoise was heavily used by the ancient Egyptians to accent their gold jewelry, inlaid in masks and other regalia, and carved into items like scarabs. So it's no wonder that the earliest mines in the world were found in the Sinai Peninsula. A number of mines were worked as far back as 5000 BC.
This Egypitan Prince turquoise cabochon is stabilized and backed for extra strength.
